From Natalie Pho:

Greetings from Trinidad!!  Our team of 36 arrived safely in beautiful Piarco, but not without some travel excitement (the entire Pho family slept in, Penny & Lisa got stuck in a parking lot with no shuttle to the airport terminal, and our 5 instruments arrived on a separate flight).  We were greeted at the airport by Jane from Harmony International and Pastor Ali and some other Trinidadian believers.  They graciously transported us from the airport to Trinidad & Tobago Urban Ministry compound.  Once we were given lunch and orientation by Jennifer Bachew, Pastor Bachew's wife, we got a good night's sleep and were ready for our time in Trinidad

As I group, I believe we were refreshed after our first night's rest here.  Our first order of "business" was to take a cultural tour of the Hindu Temple By the Sea and the Hanuman statue (this is a giant pink statue of a Monkey, that is a Hindu god).  We learned that a good portion of the population here is Hindu and we saw many prayer flags outside homes that indicated the households were of Hindu faith.  After our tour, we arrived back at the compound for our lunch break.  Our afternoon was exciting with an opportunity to canvas the neighborhood where we are hosting morning VBS, and evening crusade concerts.  Many of us had children greet us in the street and walk with us as we invited the village families to the evangelistic events.  We look forward to seeing our new friends again at VBS. The evening was also a real blessing because we got to worship with the local congregation here.  We were welcomed by Pastor Bachew as was another team that was here from Arkansas.  Both Lisa and Bob shared their testimonies and our group shared two worship songs, one of which, had a praise dance to it.  Clint preached about worship from Exodus 24 & 32.  To close the service, we shared communion -- What a precious time together!!
